To hire me all you need to do is fill out the form at the bottom of this page. Keep in mind, the more hours you purchase at once, the cheaper my hourly rate is. When you buy a block of hours, I will email you within 48 hours with an invoice to discuss with you what you need. But I love it when clients email me first to introduce themselves and their projects! It helps make sure that we are a good fit for each other and to clear up any questions either of us may have before any money is spent. You can contact me easily through the form on my contact page.
For new clients, I may require 7 business days of notice before I begin on your project. The time may be shorter or longer, depending on how full my schedule is at the time. But I promise I will always let you know up front what my schedule may be like so you are not left in the dark about when I can start working on your projects.
When you buy hours, I will secure you the next opening in my schedule if I am booked. But often, I can start work right away and will let you know that. I require that hours be purchased up front. This will help you keep track of how much money you are spending on various projects, and it eliminates the need for me to track down missing payments and clients at the end of each month. That means I don’t have to charge as much, and keeps every transaction as transparent as possible.
Payments & Refunds
I prefer Paypal. But if you are a local client, I can take check, cash, or credit card in person. If you choose to use a check, I require a 10 day waiting period for the check to clear before I begin your project.
Due to the nature of this work, I do not offer refunds. My goal is to make you happy and help you provide great content.
What is considered billable?
I use a time tracking program to keep a tally of the time I use for each client’s projects and how many hours have been purchased. Every job that I do for you or your projects is billable towards the hours that you purchased up front. Scheduled meetings, research on products or services, as well as any work I do on your behalf is all considered billable and comes out of the hours you purchase.
You will not be billed for any email correspondence. I like to keep my communication with clients to email, if at all possible. With the large variety of time zones I work with and schedule needs, email is the most efficient method of keeping in touch and keeps a good record of what we discuss to refer to later. If you need to schedule a phone call or meeting, you can email me to schedule one.
My turnaround time on emails is 48 hours at most. This includes weekends and holidays. I do have two 10-day vacations per year. I will announce those at least a month in advance.
Emergency & Last Minute Projects
Emergency or last minute projects & tasks will be accepted on a case-by-case basis only. It will depend on my schedule and an extra $5 per hour will be applied. I reserve the right to turn down any last minute emergency task for any reason. Please contact me with specifics before purchasing hours for last minute or emergency tasks. I use a program called Klok to track my billable hours. You will receive a monthly statement from me with a copy of my time sheet and the amount of billable hours you have remaining.
I will send you a notice if you are within an hour of paid time left so there will be no surprises. At that point you may choose to purchase more hours or I can complete your project. If you do not choose to use the hours you purchase from me immediately, remember they do expire within a year of purchase. But I will send out a monthly statement of your hours and when they expire so you do not forget.
